27 January 2021.- New technologies are providing engagement opportunities that were difficult to think of only a few years ago. Thanks to these new tools, for the first time in history, UNICEF will be directly engaging and consulting with almost 13 million people around the world as the organization develops its new Strategic Plan.
Through U-Report, a global network present in 76 countries, UNICEF is seeking feedback from children and young people about new directions regarding its areas of work for the period between 2022-2025.
U-Reporters will participate through a global poll that will run for the next two weeks. The poll will be available in several languages and participants will be able to share their views through Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and Viber.
To participate, those interested need to text the word “PLAN” through one of the following links:

Under the waving flag “Your voice matters”, young people around the world are invited to share their ideas and views in three core areas: Education, Climate Change and Mental Health. You will be able to view results live on the UNICEF Strategic Plan Poll section.
The results of this global exercise will feed into the new Strategic Plan that will guide the work of the organization in over 190 countries and territories. Through this initiative, UNICEF seeks to engage young people as partners, not beneficiaries, so they can be part of the change they want in the world.
