We are asking a big question this World Children’s Day: How are children’s rights really doing where you live? And the best person to answer that… is you.
UNICEF’s latest global U-Report poll is an opportunity for children and young people to share what is and isn’t working and what leaders need to do better. Your answers will help shape UNICEF’s child rights advocacy. This is your chance to influence real action.
Why this poll?
In many places, children’s rights—to learn, to be safe, to be heard, to be healthy—are under pressure. These rights belong to every child and it’s on leaders everywhere to protect them. The poll will look at a few things:
- Do children and young people know about child rights?
- Are these rights being fulfilled in your community?
- Do children have an opportunity to participate in decisions that affect them?
- Are children and young people taking action for child rights?
- What action do you want leaders to take for child rights?
When thousands of U-Reporters answer these questions, UNICEF can see patterns across countries and regions and use that to urge governments, partners and decision makers to do more for children.
After you take the poll, you’ll also be able to explore interactive stories about young changemakers who are standing up for child rights. Find out how they spend their day, how they speak up and how you can do the same.
